Please make training with your primary team a priority. It is very important that you train with your own team. Should you want to attend additional training sessions, you are more than welcome, but remember it is most important that you train with your primary team first and foremost.

Odyssey Sport staff coaches conduct winter training for all players in the club from mid-December through early April. Please see the groupings and schedule immediately below. Following the schedule are other important details.

Remember if the schools are closed, so are the trainings held at school gyms.  No training if the school district the gym is in is closed.  Regarding our home training facility, use your best judgment if it is bad where you live, don't risk getting hurt.  We will try to cancel by 2pm but there will be some situations where it is canceled later.  Always check the website before leaving to be sure.

The goal of OSSC winter training is a simple one. IMPROVE TECHNIQUE!! The club has identified technical proficiency as the #1 attribute a player can have. To that end, the majority of our winter sessions will focus on the technical aspects of soccer. We will touch on tactical cues here and there, but for the most part, your children will be concentrating on improving their dribbling, passing, receiving, ball striking, etc....

#1 - Attendance is taken at all sessions. Players should try to make AT LEAST 50% of all practices.

#2 - Players are allowed to attend another group's practice if they cannot make their own. Please be sure that it's an appropriate session (ie...U11 players should not be attending HS age practices). If you have a question about what is appropriate, please ask a staff member.

#3 - Please be on time for practice!! We have a limited amount of time in the gym, and we want to use it as efficiently and effectively as possible.

#4 - Please leave all bags and water bottles outside the gym. We have limited space for practice, and we need to use it all.

#5 - Please respect the facilities. We have a good relationship Otto Shortell Middle School. Remember to pick up all trash and other belongings before leaving the facility.

#6 - Street shoes may NOT be worn for training sessions. Please bring dry appropriate shoes to train in.
