Congratulations to the following girls teams for winning the Indoor playoffs this past weekend (4/4-5)!!! The U12 girls beat Rising Stars in the semi finals and earned a trip to the finals to avenge their only loss of the season to the T & L Blasters thereby clinching the title of "League Champions"! The U16 girls only loss this season was to Sauquoit which was avenged this weekend when the Odyssey girls beat Sauquoit in the semi finals 3-2. They then moved on to play Mt Markham in the finals where the final score was 1-0. Congratulations girls!!! For the Odyssey U-19 girls team, the only mark on an otherwise perfect indoor season was a tie versus the Utica Rhinos in their first game. The U-19 girls erased this blemish by defeating the Rhinos 1-0 in overtime of the championship game to finish with a record of 10-0-1, outscoring their opponents 55-10. Odyssey reached the finals by defeating the Blue Heat 3-2 in a close fought semi-final match. Along with tenacious team defense and outstanding goalkeeping, the U-19 girls demonstrated a balanced scoring attack in the playoffs with the four goals being scored by four different players. |
