Odyssey Members Enjoy Syracuse Silver Knights Game New Year’s Eve 38 OSSC members and friends attended a match between Syracuse and the creatively named Sharx of Norfolk, VA on New Year’s Eve, enjoying the home team’s 23-13 win. In their inaugural season in Syracuse, the team sits in second place of the Eastern Division behind Baltimore, holding a solid 6-6 record after the Norfolk win. The club anticipates supporting more local professional, semi-professional and collegiate games in 2012, including a trip to the Rochester Rhinos of the USL, a return trip to the Silver Knights, and various college spring games in the area (possibly even a matchup between the Colgate Raiders and the Rochester Rhinos!). Other upcoming OSSC get-togethers will include supporting the Women’s National Team at the London Olympics, watching the European Championships, and UEFA Champion’s League games, most of the televised events at the only United States Soccer Federation-recognized “Official US Soccer Pub” in upstate New York, Rusch’s Sports Bar in Hamilton. |
